IMO:
The Board's resolution to allow the disqualified voters (due to the SIA & NRC) vote in the election was a good thing. But it looks like they are going back on their word now. It just goes to show the board cannot be trusted to keep their word once more. Now they are using it very much like blackmail to shove a bad settlement down everyones throats. No settlement = no vote for those wrongly disenfranchised voters. It looks to me like such pressure tactics will not be working because it has more people madder than ever.

IMO, the only real obligation of the Directors is to maintain the value of our investment: Our land.
The only way that can be done is to maintain the access to the land, which is road maintenance. That's the only way the Board can affect our lives in any real-world manner. The Board has no other power outside the POA property. No police power. A corporation is not a political subdivision of the state.
Outside of that, it doesn't matter how the voting is done, who's on the Board or anything else beyond not wasting money--as long as reasonably wise decisions are made about grading the roads and the funding therefor.
Seems to me that folks wish the Board was some sort of governing body which should play policeman and distributor of largesse. It should somehow magically solve interpersonal problems among and between landowners.
Guess what? Wish in one hand, poop in the other, and see which fills up first.
